I am the Deputy Director of Gardens by the Bay’s Cloud Forest, where I oversee the care and maintenance of plants, including rare and vulnerable species. I first discovered my passion for plants after moving to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona and was fascinated by how resilient and tough a plant has to be to survive in such a harsh environment. This discovery, combined with my curious and adventurous spirit, inspired me to pursue an education and career in horticulture, which eventually led me to Singapore. I could not resist the lure of being part of the most ambitious horticultural project I had ever heard of! I feel very lucky and proud to have been a part of it from such an early phase. I have had the chance to watch the conservatories grow from a construction site to one of the must visit indoor gardens in the world!
